Ged Moriarty
Ged is a University of Queensland graduate with First-Class Honours in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Their degree ingrained a passion in them to work in preventative and early-interventional spheres so that men and boys can live lives free from violence, particularly to themselves. As the Research and Evaluation Coordinator at The Man Cave, a leading mental health and masculinities charity that empowers teenage boys to become the best version of themselves, Ged helps elevate boys’ lived experiences so we can all thrive in healthier, more connected communities. Ged is also an Associate Investigator on The ALIVE National Centre, Casting the Net for What Matters Consortium, a consortium aiming to transform mental health and wellbeing systems by focusing on equitable access and outcomes for all, specifically addressing areas like suicide prevention and social and emotional wellbeing.
