Jason Bonson
Jason is of both Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander descent, regarded as an expert and leader in men’s health for the Northern Territory. Jason has been working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander male health since 1999, working across non-profits and government including a strong ability to conduct stakeholder management in the Northern Territory public, industry, community & Aboriginal and Community Controlled Health Organisation sector. Jason has been an investigator in numerous Flinders University research & Menzies School of Health Research projects. He is also co-author of peer reviewed men’s health research and health promotion articles. He is the past inaugural Chair of the Darwin Indigenous Men’s Service. Jason Coordinates the Darwin Men’s Inter Agency Network stakeholder forum. He is a current member of the Healthy Male Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Male Health Reference Group, the only current national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander male health reference group.
