Lewis Bird
Lewis Bird began his career with the National Rugby League, supporting disadvantaged youth in schools and out-of-home care. His journey soon expanded into the mental health sector, where he served as both a counsellor and trainer with Lifeline. But it was the powerful intersection of these two worlds—sport and mental wellbeing—that called Lewis to do more.
Driven by a deep desire to give back to the communities that shaped him, Lewis founded The Amend Project—a grassroots initiative dedicated to working with sporting clubs and communities to promote mental health, especially among men. Through honest conversations, education, and connection, Lewis helps create safer teams and safer communities, redefining what strength and belonging truly look like in sport and in life.
