Oral Presentation (max 20 mins including Q&A) National Men's Health Gathering 2025

Decoding dad guilt (126018)

Society pressures men, particularly Dads and father-figures, to put work and family first, to the detriment of their mental health. While juggling our careers and the needs of our loved ones, there often feels like no time for self-care. But that's where men can get into trouble.

Understanding how to decode and demystify 'Dad-guilt' is crucial for men to become leaders for their loved ones and also at work. As men, it's our responsibility to have strong mental health. We need to re-think how we approach self-care and make it priority, not a possibility.

In this enlightening session, participants will discover:

1. The 3 pillars of stronger overall health, including play, connection and strengthening, that we can all use in our working week
2. Play to Lead: How to use ‘play’ as a tool to strengthen your overall health and relationships
3. Connecting Creatively: how to take your friendships to the next level by showing vulnerability
4. Post-It Progress: the simple tool that men can use to keep their mental health on track each day
5. How fast golf is building communities of healthy, active Dads

Please note that, depending on time limits, I can tailor the talk to accommodate. The above is based on a 1-hour presentation.
If you prefer, I can also tailor this into a workshop or leave it as a presentation that doesn't require audience participation.
