Since launching in March 2019, the Penrith Men’s Walk and Talk has grown into a vital part of the community, promoting men’s health and connection. What began as a simple weekly walk has become a powerful support network, attracting over 40 men each Thursday and up to 200 at major events.

More than a casual stroll, the Walk offers a platform for conversation, support, and personal growth. It welcomes men from all walks of life, creating a space where they can connect, share, and feel heard.

Connection and Conversation
Each Thursday night brings more than exercise. Guest speakers and themed events like Gen Z Night, RUOK Day, and Tradies Night ensure that the Walk reflects the real challenges and interests of its participants. These events spark meaningful conversations and encourage men to open up, making mental and emotional health a priority.

Health, Tools, and Support
A standout initiative, Toolbox Talks, brings the message directly into local workplaces. These short sessions provide practical health insights and support beyond the weekly walks. The program’s reach is amplified by free coffees, shirts, and merchandise—thanks to the generous backing of local businesses.

Over 100 men have now completed mental health first aid training through the Walk, equipping them to better support others—on the walk, at home, and in the workplace.

A Community Movement
Driven entirely by community support, Penrith Men’s Walk and Talk has become more than an event—it’s a movement. Weekly gatherings continue to grow, proving there’s a strong and ongoing need for safe spaces where men can talk openly, make connections, and support one another.

Not Just a Walk
As it moves forward, Penrith Men’s Walk and Talk remains a beacon of hope and connection. It’s not just about walking—it’s about showing up, listening, and being part of something bigger.

Join the Walk. Be part of the change.
